Founded by Late Padma Shri Devi Sahai Jindal, the enterprise that began in 1952 as a single steel works in Howrah has grown into a modern group of six companies. Each carries a distinct focus — pipes, steel tubes, rebars, plumbing, education and capital — but all trace their beginnings back to the family's first furnace.
